Chasing the Cup!

Jeff Russell makes a mid-season charge by winning back to back races at Infineon and Chicagoland.  The victories vaulted him into the top 10 in the standings, and Russell now looks to be a strong contender for the Chase for the IRC Cup. 

The Record Book:

Darrell Hudlemeyer picked up his 12th consecutive top ten of the season at Chicagoland.  If he picks up 3 more top ten finishes he will pass Del Oliver's current record of 14 in a row!

Late Model News:

Gene Patient wins at Madison Speedway bringing him to within only one point of short track wizard Nick Hansen. The two drivers stand with 51 and 50 points making the Late Mod points battle very exciting with only 3 races remaining.  Alan Johnson and Eric Brundies are only 5 points back with 46.
